Fans reacted to Drew Dober's gruesome cut that he suffered at UFC Denver.

On Saturday night, Dober fought rising prospect Jean Silva for a lightweight bout. Heading into the action-packed matchup, Dober was coming off a unanimous decision loss against Renato Moicano. Meanwhile, Silva looked to continue building momentum after knocking out Charles Jourdain on June 29 at UFC 303.

Silva accepted the short-notice opportunity after Dober's previous opponent, Mike Davis, pulled out due to a severe injury. 'Lord' showcased an impressive during the three-round bout and produced a massive cut above Dober's eye, leading to a doctor's stoppage in the final frame to extend his UFC record to 3-0.

The aftermath of Dober's cut was shared on Twitter by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting. Once the photo was re-posted, fans took to the comment section and reacted to the gruesome damage caused by Silva:

Drew Dober releases statement following UFC Denver loss against Jean Silva

Drew Dober has endured many highs and lows throughout his twenty-four fights under the UFC banner. Despite the disappointing result, Dober remained humble following his loss against Jean Silva at UFC Denver by posting a photo of himself on Instagram with the following caption:

"Such an honor to be able to step in there and show off my heart and determination. Thank you, Denver, and the UFC for these moments and opportunities. There is no shame in failure. Just an opportunity to become a better man."

Drew Dober's latest defeat pushed his UFC record to 13-10 (one no-contest). Luckily, the action-packed lightweight isn't ready to hang up the gloves, as he believes there's plenty of gas left in the tank. It'll be intriguing to see who the UFC matches the 35-year-old up against for his 25th promotional fight.
