Reports have been buzzing about UFC superstar Conor McGregor taking on Logan Paul in a boxing showdown. The claim was first made in an X post by McGregor in which he claimed to have a $250 million offer for the exhibition bout against Paul.
However, a UFC insider has now weighed in on the reports by trashing them and offering a realistic payday for the fight. 'The Notorious' has been out of action since 2021. He was expected to headline UFC 303 alongside Michael Chandler, but the Irishman never made it to the octagon due to a toe injury.
Talking about McGregor's rumored return in an exhibition boxing showdown, the former UFC title challenger, Chael Sonnen said:
"Like, there's levels to stupid out there but he's not there and I was letting Bo know what the open market is, what that fight would do on the open market. When you got to do carve-outs, contracts, and WME is pretty good at that and they got both these guys in house. So you start factoring all that stuff then and you're living in crazyville, you got instructed to get it done...Okay great, 50 million all in."

Calling the idea of $250 million "stupid" and that anyone would box McGregor, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and KSI for such kind of money in one night, Sonnen further added:
"Everything changes when you hear a stupid number like $250 million because you guys would box Conor McGregor for that. You'd box Conor, Logan, Jake, and KSI in the same night for that."
Check out Chael Sonnen's comments below (2:33 & 5:50):
Conor McGregor has competed in one professional boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017. He lost by a tenth-round TKO to the boxing legend in the fight. On the other hand, Logan Paul has two professional boxing bouts to his name in which he has lost one and won the other by disqualification in 2023.
Usman Nurmagomedov downplays UFC superstar Conor McGregor's reported presence in his rival's corner
The beef between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov hasn't settled and continues to this day. The duo was recently at loggerheads in virtual space after the former UFC lightweight champion made comments on the Irish fighters.
Now, 'The Eagle's' cousin Usman Nurmagomedov downplayed McGregor's reported presence in his rival Paul Hughes' corner in his upcoming fight. Usman will defend his lightweight world title against Hughes at PFL: Road to Dubai - Champions Series on Jan. 25.
Hughes had called out 'The Notorious' to be in his corner given Khabib is cornering his cousin. When asked about McGregor being at the corner of Hughes, Usman said in an interview with CBS:
"Doesn't matter. Even if Conor will come to the cage, I can smash these guys both. I don't care."
