What's next for Khalil Rountree Jr. in the UFC?
Khalil Rountree Jr. will need to endure an extended layoff before his next fight, especially considering he is expected to receive a medical suspension. Once he returns, the Las Vegas resident should have plenty of options in the UFC light heavyweight division because of his gutsy performance against Alex Pereira.
The division could look slightly different once Rountree Jr. fights again. With that said, one potential opponent is former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill, who is itching to secure another title shot against Pereira.
Meanwhile, Rountree Jr's added popularity makes him a good matchup for anyone in the top ten. Other interesting opponents would be Jiri Prochazka, Jan Blachowicz, the loser of Aleksandar Rakic vs. Magomed Ankalaev, and more.
