Sean O'Malley is contemplating a leap into the world of boxing following a crucial showdown in the UFC.
In his first title defense, the reigning UFC bantamweight champion secured a resounding unanimous decision win over Marlon Vera at UFC 299 last month.
Now O'Malley has doubled down on his desire of venturing into the boxing ring, potentially against Ryan Garcia. However, prior to that, he must confront a significant challenge in the form of Merab Dvalishvili, the No.1 contender in the 135-pound division.
Sugar' recently turned to X and reiterated his boxing aspirations, while confidently predicting a knockout victory over Dvalishvili:

Sean O'Malley eyes UFC approval for Ryan Garcia boxing match
Sean O'Malley recently said he's engaged in early conversations with key UFC figures regarding a potential boxing showdown against Ryan Garcia.
During a recent episode of his TimboSugarShow podcast, O'Malley shared that his boxing aspirations weren't immediately shut down by the MMA organization, hinting at the possibility of it becoming a reality:
"A boxing fight’s possible, for sure. I’m not there yet. I’ve still got to become bigger. Two more f**king sick performances, then we’re talking about being able to do it. They told me, ‘You can do a boxing fight 100 percent if it makes us enough money.' The option is there. It just has to be able to make enough money. But Ryan, being a f**king freak like that, you need two A-sides to make a f**king Floyd [Mayweather] vs. Conor [McGregor] fight."
