Leon Edwards recently released a post-fight statement following his loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304. This sparked reactions from American martial artist and actor Chuck Norris, UFC commentator Jon Anik, and many others.
Edwards made his third welterweight title defense last weekend against Muhammad in the main event of UFC 304. He was the favorite going into his title fight against 'Remember the Name', and a lot of people expected the British fighter to continue the dominance he showed in their previous encounter at UFC Vegas 21.
However, this time, it was the title challenger who would control most of the fight. Muhammad put up an impressive display against Edwards and won the fight via unanimous decision.
Following the loss, Edwards took to social media on Monday and issued a post-fight statement. He apologized for falling short and announced his plans to reclaim the belt, writing:

Belal Muhammad denies giving Leon Edwards a rematch right away
This past Saturday marked the end of Leon Edwards' title run as Belal Muhammad defeated him in the UFC 304 main event by unanimous decision.
Muhammad disclosed that he does not intend to face Edwards in a rematch anytime soon. When questioned about the idea of a rematch during the post-fight press conference following the fight, the recently crowned welterweight champion replied:
''Yeah, I'll give him a rematch in three years. Let him work his way back up. No, I think it was a dominant fight. There is really no need for a rematch and I don't think he was that - he had that long reign of a champion where he's entitled to a rematch. For me, I came to his hometown in front of his people and in enemy territory so it was all like a lay up for him, but I blocked it."
