The verbal confrontation between Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway is in full swing and fresh shots are being fired ahead of their upcoming clash at UFC 308. The featherweight standouts will headline the pay-per-view showcase on Oct. 26 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Holloway, the former UFC featherweight champion, has produced some viral highlight reel moments in the organization. However, nothing quite measures up to the impact of the buzzer-beater finish against Justin Gaethje for the BMF championship at UFC 300. 'Blessed' pointed to the ground with ten seconds left in the fight and waged a frenetic exchange, knocking out Gaethje at the 4:59 mark of the fifth round.

Back in January 2021, Holloway scripted another viral moment, when he pointed at the UFC analyst booth and asserted to be the "best boxer in the UFC." The Hawaiian outboxed Calvin Kattar and won the fight by unanimous decision, while also etching his name in UFC history for the highest significant strike differential recorded in a fight.
Topuria took to X to mock both the viral moments by posting a comparison video of the infamous fight between footballers Carlos Diogo and Luis Fabiano. He captioned the post:
"The best boxer in the UFC [laughing emoji]"

Several fans took to X to react to Topuria's post and wrote:
"You got knocked down by Jai Herbert."
"You're disparaging the consensus KO of the Year? That's... certainly a choice"
"Why didn’t you show the last second?"
"Funny how he cut out the knockout. Last 10 seconds of a 5 rounder that is meant to be a slugfest that last 10 seconds, where else in the fight did he look like that."
