Muay Thai upstart Johan Ghazali knows he has himself a war when he takes on Johan Estupinan next. That said, the Malaysian-American teenage sensation sees plenty of ways he can hand the Colombian striker a first career loss.
'The Battle of Johans' gets underway at ONE 170 inside Bangkok's Impact Arena on Friday, Jan. 24. They lock horns in a flyweight Muay Thai joust.
Speaking on Estupinan's usual in-ring flair ahead of fight night, Johan Ghazali admitted the Colombian's all-out style might make things a little easier for him. He told Anything Combat:
"He's a crazy fighter. But the downside of being that crazy is you leave yourself open to a lot of shots."

Johan Ghazali's evaluation is spot on, after all.
'Panda Kick' may enjoy a reputable 4-0 record in his promotional run so far, but in some of those victories, the JCFernandez and Team CSK athlete has had his chin tested numerous times.
Before he sent Zakaria El Jamari packing at ONE Fight Night 25, the heavy-handed Moroccan wobbled him with a couple of accurate fists.
Meanwhile, in his ONE 168: Denver war alongside Sean Climaco, the Filipino-American stand-up specialist did connect on Estupinan's chin before he turned things around in the second round.
As such, 'Jojo' sees one or two ways he can put his trademark knockout power to good use against Estupinan and get his 2025 off to a flyer when they lock horns at ONE 170 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 24.
Johan Ghazali admits Johan Estupinan's style could be a hassle to deal with
While he's not short of confidence, Johan Ghazali vows to keep his feet on the ground ahead of his first outing on the global stage in 2025.
Apart from Estupinan's flaws, the Rentap Muay Thai Gym and Superbon Training Camp athlete sees some room for concern against the Colombian's out-of-the-box style.
In the same interview, the 18-year-old added:
"He's a very unorthodox fighter. A different fighter. He doesn't fight like traditional Thais or traditional Muay Thai fighters."
