Joe Rogan once warned a heckler bothering Leon Edwards to back off

Joe Rogan recently recounted an incident where he saved a Leon Edwards critic from potential danger. Rogan was recently joined by fellow podcasters and comedians Ari Shaffir, Tom Segura, and Bert Kreischer on the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) Podcast.

After Segura mentioned the incident without naming the fighter, Rogan revealed that it was Edwards. Rogan was with Edwards when someone baselessly started "talking s**t' to 'Rocky."

The UFC color commentator then stepped in to stop the fan from aggravating Edwards, saving him from potential danger. Rogan reminded the fan that he was messing around with one of the highest skilled prizefighters on the planet. Revisiting the episode, the 55-year-old said:

"It was Leon Edwards. Some guy was talking shit to Leon Edwards. I said, 'You are making a critical mistake. Let me just step in right here. First of all. you're out of line and you're being a s**head to him for no f**king reason and you're picking the wrrroooonng dude!', I'm like, 'That is one of the best fighter's on planet earth.'"

When Leon Edwards described his "mad night" with Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle

Leon Edwards made his first appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience last year in March. Edwards later revealed that Rogan invited him to a comedy show, a day before the podcast, where the UFC color commentator would be performing alongside fellow comedian Dave Chappelle. 'Rocky' said during an episode of Anything Goes With James English:

"Him [Joe Rogan] and Dave Chapelle were doing a show the night before the podcast. I was like 'Oh sh*t Dave Chappelle.' I went to the show, it was a great comedy show... I went backstage and Chappelle was like, 'Oh sh*t, you're that kung-fu guy.' It was a surreal moment... Joe is driving his Tesla, Chappelle in the front seat, I said, 'Mate, this is a mad night.' We're all cracking jokes, they're just normal guys."
