BJJ star Dante Leon said that when one competes, there is no doubt pressure involved. However, he said, some fighters give themselves undue duress, preventing them from performing at their best.
Such should not be the case, the multi-time No-Gi world champion underscored in an interview with ONE Championship, relaying how a fighter can compete hard but have fun at the same time.
"And that's a problem with professional athletes. You're expected to be, like, so mature and profound, but you're really just a kid when you start."

Dante Leon-Bruno Pucci showdown one of three grappling matches at ONE Fight Night 26
The submission grappling showdown between Dante Leon and Bruno Pucci is one of three topnotch grappling matches on offer at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 in Thailand.
It joins the world title match between reigning atomweight queen Mayssa Bastos of Brazil and challenger and former world champion Danielle Kelly of the United States. The contest is a rematch of their first encounter in August, in which Bastos seized the championship belt with a unanimous decision victory.
Also featured is the lightweight battle between ONE newcomer Cole Abate of the U.S. against Japanese martial arts legend Shinya Aoki.
Meanwhile, in Pucci, Dante Leon is up against an opponent who is making his submission grappling debut in ONE Championship after 11 matches in MMA. He, however, pride himself in his BJJ skills which made him a multi-time No-Gi world champion.
