Shamil Erdogan has his sights set on halting the winning streak of one of the most destructive forces in MMA right now.
The Turkish competitor arrived in ONE Championship with a debut win over Fan Rong that set him up for big things.
At ONE 168 this past weekend, he faced his biggest test to date at the Ball Arena in Denver.
Former champion Aung La N Sang has been able to build himself back to where he once was and was never going to be intimidated by the prospect of facing an undefeated contender.

With a second-round finish, Erdogan was able to make a statement by taking out 'The Burmese Python' with a dominant performance.
He immediately turned his attention to the world champion in his post-fight interview.
In the hopes of calling three-weight king Anatoly Malykhin back down to middleweight, he made it clear that he's ready to take on the Russian next time out:
"Anatoly Malykhin, right now, you're stepping into my territory, and I'm ready to defeat you in your division. Stay tuned for that."
Shamil Erdogan is an interesting challenge for Anatoly Malykhin
Shamil Erdogan is a very interesting match-up for the three-weight world champion if that fight does happen in the near future.
Like Anatoly Malykhin, he comes from a high-level grappling background and has developed his striking over time.
The major question would be whether his speed is enough to overcome the size and power of his Russian foe who is set to compete at heavyweight at ONE 169 in November.
It's clearly a challenge that Erdogan has set his sights on and it could be a huge fight if both men still have their undefeated records intact by the time they meet inside the Circle for the middleweight belt.
