Demetrious Johnson has learned a lot throughout his MMA career as the sport has evolved over time. The ONE flyweight world champion has always been one of the best fighters on the planet, but there's another area that he was ahead of the curve on.

Through his love and passion for video games, Johnson was able to connect with his fans via his own platforms like YouTube and Twitch. He's now managed to transition this into combat sports content with regular breakdown videos and interviews with other martial artists.

In a recent podcast episode of MightyCast, 'Mighty Mouse' spoke with the former ONE atomweight MMA world champion, Angela Lee.

During the conversation, he spoke about how fighters should look to build the platform they have in order to maximize their careers and set up foundations for the future:

Demetrious Johnson is keeping busy without MMA

Demetrious Johnson may have taken a step back from MMA in recent times but that doesn't mean he's kicking his feet up.

'Mighty Mouse' of course now has more time with his family, but he's always keeping himself busy with other pursuits.

Johnson's current passion for training and competing in gi jiu-jitsu has helped to fill the void that MMA has left behind for the time being.

He's also still using all of the combat sports experience that he has accumulated to help with this new venture into becoming an analyst and media personality in the sport.

Someone like 'Mighty Mouse' is never going to be removed from martial arts entirely, even when he decides to hang up his gloves.
