“Your problem, not mine” – Joseph Lasiri responds to sentiment that Prajanchai didn’t take him seriously in first fight

At ONE Friday Fights 46, Joseph Lasiri is set to put his ONE strawweight Muay Thai world championship on the line for the first time.

Having not fought throughout 2023 as he was recovering from an injury, the champion has much to live up to on his return to the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where a former foe awaits him.

Lasiri was able to pull off the upset in winning the title when he stopped Prajanchai PK Saenchai in the third round at ONE 157 in March last year.

With Prajanchai securing the interim title in the meantime, the title unification is set for December 22, with huge stakes on the line for both men.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Joseph Lasiri spoke about how he feels like he’s always being underestimated, but he believes this will work in his favor on fight night:

“I told you inside the arena, it’s a job, you know. It’s our job. If you come in there, and you think I’m coming there for joking or you didn't train to fight against me, it will be your problem, not mine.”

Joseph Lasiri is out to solidify his title reign at ONE Friday Fights 46

After suffering a losing streak on his arrival in ONE Championship, Joseph Lasiri always feels like he has a point to prove.

His win streak that led him to the world championship showed a completely different side to the champion, and beating Prajanchai for a second time would leave no room for doubts.

That being said, fans were critical of his performance against Rodtang Jitmuangnon last year, again adding fuel to the fire that the champion needs to make a statement next time out.
