ONE flyweight MMA kingpin Demetrious Johnson recalled feeling seriously impressed with the Ruotolo twins when they trained together last month.
There's been lots of talk and hype surrounding Kade and Tye Ruotolo's grappling skills. As Johnson soon discovered, their imposing and innovative abilities are what sets them apart from some of the most influential figures in jiu-jitsu today.
Recalling their training together on the JAXXON PODCAST this week, 'Mighty Mouse' gushed about the Ruotolo twins' bizarre methods of raising hell with their grappling. He said:
"I told them, 'Your wrestling is so chaotic.' It just seems so chaotic, not smooth arm drags. And they go, 'We do it on purpose because we're trying to be chaotic' for you to expose yourself and open yourself. I felt it. Ok, it's not chaotic, it's just the way you guys are doing it. Plus, they're going against guys a lot bigger than them."

The Ruotolo twins have proven time and time again that they're legitimate grappling world champions based on their long list of accomplishments.
Kade Ruotolo, for his part, made history as the youngest ADCC World Champion in the -77 kg division. In the same year, he became the inaugural ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion when he submitted Russia's Uali Kurzhev in October 2022.
After stringing an undefeated record of 6-0, Kade has huge competition again in the form of fellow grappling world champion 'Darth Rigatoni' Mikey Musumeci. They are booked to clash at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 in US Primetime.

ONE lightweight superstar Kade Ruotolo explained the brief backstory to his jiu-jitsu showdown with Mikey Musumeci this week on The MMA Hour.
The California native has always welcomed challenges against high-profile competitors in the past, so he wasn't going to say no to Mikey Musumeci. They've both cleared out their divisions and are willing to push the envelope further, all in the name of jiu-jitsu.
Sharing how the highly-anticipated bout with Musumeci came into being, Kade told Ariel Helwani:
"It was just that it was the match a lot of the fans really wanted to see, so if that's what they wanna see, I'm gonna give it to them."
