Second-ranked ONE Championship flyweight MMA contender 'Little Piranha' Yuya Wakamatsu of Japan admits his mind is still a little foggy after getting clobbered on the back of the head in a heated matchup against Gilbert Nakatani last weekend.

Wakamatsu used his veteran savvy to overcome a spirited effort from his Japanese-American counterpart at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video. After three tough and grueling rounds, he defeated Nakatani via unanimous decision.

Speaking to the media at the official ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video post-fight interviews, Wakamatsu talked about Nakatani hitting him on the back of the head with illegal blows, which caused a few problems for him mid-fight.

'Little Piranha' said:

"Okay, so thank you. And the fact that I won this fight, I'm happy about that. But also, I got hit in the first round to the back of the head, so I don’t remember much."

Needless to say, Wakamatsu pulled it out eventually and used his experience to overcome the stiff challenge from Nakatani.

ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video was broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, last Saturday, December 7. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Then he went on to thank the fans:

"Thank you for the support. From now on, I will try even harder to be the champion. Keep on supporting me thank you."
