Zebaztian Kadestam has started training again to prepare for his next fight.

Two weeks ago, Kadestam made a statement at ONE Championship’s first event in the United States. The former ONE welterweight world champion was matched up against the highly-touted Roberto Soldic, which ended up being a war. In the second round, ‘The Bandit’ landed a counter elbow strike on Soldic, leading to an unforgettable knockout.

Kadestam didn’t take much time off before returning to the gym. He shared a video on Instagram of him putting in work with the caption saying:

“Until the wheels fall off ⚔️”

In October 2019, Zebaztian Kadestam suffered a setback after losing the ONE welterweight world championship against Kiamrian Abbasov. He ended up losing two more fights before turning everything around in 2022.

Kadestam began his comeback tour with a first-round knockout against Valmir da Silva in February 2022. Six months later, ‘The Bandit’ continued building momentum with another first-round knockout against Iuri Lapicus. Now that he’s secured his third consecutive win, the former world champion could be next for a world title shot or a number-one contender matchup.

Kadestam’s future could be determined by the reigning ONE welterweight world champion, Christian Lee. ‘The Warrior’ is recovering from the tragic loss of his 17-year-old younger sister, Victoria Lee, who was also a ONE Championship fighter. As a result, an interim world title could be utilized, giving ‘The Bandit’ a higher chance of avoiding a number-one contender matchup.

For those that haven’t seen Zebaztian Kadestam’s latest win, the replay of ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video can be seen on Amazon Prime Video by North American subscribers for free.
