Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is getting prepared for a dangerous challenger, so he trained alongside some of the best fighters in the world.

To defeat former bantamweight kickboxing world champion Alaverdi Ramazanov, Nong-O enlisted current ONE bantamweight world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus and former featherweight kickboxing king Superbon Singha Mawynn.

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is aiming to earn his seventh world title defense when he battles Ramazanov at ONE Friday Fights 1 on January 20 at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Referring to his new training team, the 36-year-old Thai athlete said:

"In Thailand, I have trained with new trainers and new partners. They help me sharpen my skills and teach me some new techniques."

The ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion added:

"My close friends, Petchtanong [Petchfergus] and Superbon [Singha Mawynn] also joined me to be my sparring partners. Training with new team-mates made me feel refreshed and strong. I feel that I have improved a lot with diverse techniques and skills."

Nong-O's sparring partners for his upcoming bout are two fighters who have held ONE kickboxing gold. Petchtanong Petchfergus just earned his ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title. Whereas Superbon was top of the pound-for-pound kickboxing rankings until recently losing his throne.

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao seeking another knockout win

Thus far in ONE Championship, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao has earned worldwide acclaim for his impressive six consecutive defenses of his world title. Additionally, in his most recent four fights, the Thai-born athlete stopped his opponents via KO/TKO.

The 36-year-old fighter will be looking to extend his win streak even further as he faces Alaverdi Ramazanov on Friday, January 20. The bantamweight Muay Thai king explained recently that the key to his success is constantly training.

While speaking in an interview with ONE, he said:

“I’m getting older. I have to train more to stay strong. And I’m the kind of person who gets irritated If I don't practice. So, I have to train hard to fight with younger opponents. I try to be active all the time even during the past New Year holidays. Intensity may drop a bit, but I still went jogging to stay active every day. Never stay idle.”
