Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk, a Ukrainian professional boxer born on January 17, 1987, has achieved remarkable success in the world of boxing. He has held numerous world championships in two weight classes, including the unified heavyweight title since 2021, as well as the Ring magazine title since 2022, and the International Boxing Organization (IBO) title since 2021. Usyk was the undisputed cruiserweight champion from 2018 to 2019, making him the first boxer in that division to simultaneously hold all four major world titles.

Usyk is widely recognized as one of Ukraine's greatest boxers in history. His victory over Tyson Fury in early 2024 made him the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 24 years, since Lennox Lewis. Currently, Usyk is ranked as the world's best active boxer, pound for pound, according to The Ring. He is ranked third by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB), fourteenth by BoxRec, and first by ESPN.
