#3. Ham Seo Hee blasts Itsuki Hirata for making a boring fight

Ham Seo Hee has now put her rivalry with Itsuki Hirata in the rearview mirror, but the South Korean star had one parting shot for her younger opponent.

Hirata and Ham were embroiled in a heated build-up for their meeting at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, and ‘Hamzzang’ fully expected that their match would be a barnburner.

What happened, though, was a methodically paced bout that Ham easily took control of.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post following her win, Ham expressed her disappointment with Hirata’s lack of aggression in the match:

“One person’s effort is just not enough to make it an entertaining match and that’s what I felt.”

The win put Ham at a 3-0 record in ONE Championship while also putting her in a spot for a potential shot at gold in her next outing.

#2. Superlek admits he failed to scout Danial Williams before fight

Superlek Kiatmoo9 knew he had to buckle down during his world title defense against Danial Williams in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8.

The ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion was supposed to face Rodtang Jitmuangnon on the card, but 'The Iron Man' had to pull out of the event due to injury.

Ultimately, Superlek defended his gold against Australian-Thai striker Danial Williams on short notice.

Superlek, though, put on a tremendous showing, eventually knocking out Williams in the third round.

Following his win, Superlek admitted in an interview with the South China Morning Post that he didn’t scout Williams heading into the fight:

"Well I will say that I know Danial Williams not too well, as I said it was a little bit last minute. The first round was a little difficult for me because his style was different from what I had planned the previous fight.”

#1. ONE Championship CEO says Rodtang will be good to go for first on-ground US event in Colorado

Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s sudden withdrawal from ONE Fight Night 8 left a lot of fight fans wondering if he’ll be fit enough for his world title defense on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10.

The Thai superstar pulled out of his scheduled bout against Superlek Kiatmoo9 due to an injury he suffered in training.

Nevertheless, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong assured fans that Rodtang will be healthy in his world title defense against Edgar Tabares in Colorado.

In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Sityodtong said that Rodtang will be ready to defend the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title in ONE Championship’s first on-site card in the US:

“I haven’t talked to Rodtang and his camp yet but obviously, I wish him well. I know he’s going to do a quick seminar tour. He hurt his lower back, so he wants to do a quick rest before the May 5 event. But he’s ready to go on May 5.”

ONE Fight Night 10 will be broadcast live and for free on North American television via Prime Video.
