#3. Mikey Musumeci says ONE Championship live experience “destroys” every other MMA card US fans have come to know

Mikey Musumeci is three bouts into his ONE Championship career, and the American grappling artist already has a full grasp of the grand theater and pageantry that the promotion is capable of creating.

While the organization has only staged major fight cards in Asia so far, it will mark its first on-site US card with ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in Broomfield, Colorado.

American fans are yet to experience a live ONE Championship event, and ‘Darth Rigatoni’ is already promising that the promotion will blow the roof off at 1stBank Center.

Musumeci wrote on Instagram:

“For the first time ever, the US will get to experience @onechampionship LIVE!! Since I can crawl I have been watching MMA and have been to so many MMA events in the US, but the experience of being at a @onechampionship event is something I had never experienced/felt in my life.”

He added:

“It DESTROYS anything the US has had to this point, and I’m so excited for the US to finally get to see this and also to be on this legendary card with the best martial artists in all disciplines!! This is just the beginning 😊.”

Musumeci himself will compete on the much-anticipated card when he defends his ONE flyweight submission grappling world title against Osamah Almarwai.

ONE Fight Night 10 will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

#2. Zebaztian Kadestam relishes facing a big name like Roberto Soldic - “He has all the hype”

Zebaztian Kadestam remains one of the most lethal strikers in ONE Championship and he’s relishing the chance to take on the equally dangerous Roberto Soldic at ONE Fight Night 10.

The fight between the two brawlers is already being looked at as a potential Fight of the Night contender. Kadestam, too, knows that taking on Soldic is a huge opportunity in and of itself.

Kadestam told ONE Championship in an interview that he’s keen on testing just how menacing Soldic is:

“It’s a name. Everybody knows him. He has all the hype, and I want it. I would fight anyone in the world, but this is a winning situation for me. I have a lot to take from this.”

Soldic is one of the biggest names coming out of Europe, with the Croatian sensation simultaneously holding the welterweight and middleweight titles in KSW before signing with ONE Championship.

‘Robocop’ has 20 wins under his belt with 17 of those victories coming by way of knockout.

#1. Reinier de Ridder admits KO loss to Anatoly Malykhin made him "rethink" his decisions

Reinier de Ridder was unstoppable in his mixed martial arts career, going on a ridiculous 16-0 march before that perfection was blotted when he faced Russian knockout machine Anatoly Malykhin.

The Dutch superstar not only lost that precious '0', but he also relinquished the ONE light heavyweight world title to Malykhin at ONE on Prime Video 5.

Malykhin thus became a two-division world champion after adding the light heavyweight strap to his ONE interim heavyweight world title.

De Ridder admitted in an interview with the South China Morning Post that he might have bitten more than he could chew in his Manila fight against Malykhin. The reigning ONE middleweight world champion also pointed out that the knockout loss he absorbed made him rethink his attitude as a fighter:

“There’s a lot of stuff. Of course, when something like this happens, you rethink everything you do and there was a lot of stuff that I could have done better preparing for that matchup. After 16 wins and kinda beating everybody pretty easily, I might have gotten a bit too cocky. I thought I could do this to anybody in the world easily.”
