Ham is coming off a unanimous decision win over Itsuki Hirata at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, and ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong said that the South Korean star’s next match would be for the ONE interim women’s atomweight world title.
Sityodtong said in an interview with the South China Morning Post that the women’s atomweight division should go on and that Ham is one of the figures who could keep it moving:
“For sure, Ham Seo Hee will be going into the interim world title shot in her next fight. Her opponent will be either Stamp or whoever will be in the top five or top two. So yeah, she will get a world title shot.”
He added:
“I do believe that the [women’s] atomweight division must go on and I think Ham Seo Hee is deserving of a world title shot."
Ham is ranked No.2 in the division behind No.1 contender Stamp Fairtex and reigning ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela Lee.

#2. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues says it’s only fair for her to challenge Janet Todd for her kickboxing gold
Allycia Hellen Rodrigues’ return to the circle created a seismic shift in ONE Championship’s striking roster after she captured the undisputed ONE atomweight Muay Thai world title.
The mom-champ, however, isn’t satisfied with holding just one world title.
Rodrigues took a unanimous decision win over interim world champion Janet Todd in their world title unification match at ONE Fight Night 8, and she told the South China Morning Post after her win that her next goal is to get her division’s kickboxing world title.
Coincidentally, Todd is the reigning ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion. Rodrigues said:
“We don’t have a lot of experience in kickboxing, but she came for my belt and now we want to try for her belt too and we just want the chance and we’re gonna try our best. We’re gonna give it our best.”
Rodrigues became the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion back in August 2020 when she beat Stamp Fairtex for the belt. She then took a lengthy leave of absence to give birth and take care of her son.

#1. ONE Championship CEO says he will call Christian and Angela Lee for their blessing to create interim world titles
Interim belts are nothing new in mixed martial arts, but ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong wants to go above and beyond before instituting them.
Sityodtong recently revealed that Ham Seo Hee’s next match will be for the ONE interim women’s atomweight world title. Before he proceeds with the belt creation, though, Sityodtong said he’ll get the blessing of current atomweight queen Angela Lee.
The same goes for the interim versions of the ONE lightweight and welterweight world titles, both of which are under the possession of Christian Lee. Sityodtong said:
“Again, that’s a very strong possibility, for sure... I would like to call Angela and Christian out of courtesy, to get their blessing to continue on with an interim [world title], just out of respect. It’s a very difficult time for the family and I just don’t want to put any undue stress or any negative energy out there for them. I just want to make sure that they feel loved and supported by the world.”
The Lee siblings have yet to signify a return to competition following the untimely death of their younger sister Victoria in December last year.
