#3. Rodtang Jitmuangnon makes it on ONE Championship U.S. card against Edgar Tabares

ONE Championship is making sure that its first on-site US event is packed to the brim with the best matches available in the world of martial arts.

The promotion recently announced that Thai megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon will defend his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title against Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5.

Colorado’s 1stBank Center will bear witness to the card, which will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

“Rodtang is coming to the U.S. 🔥 ‘The Iron Man’ defends his ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title against WBC Muay Thai Champion Edgar Tabares on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video! 🇺🇸 @rodtang_jimungnon @edgarjuareztabares_mt," ONE Championship posted on Instagram.

The bout will be the fifth time that Rodtang will defend the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title and will be just over a month after he challenges Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title.

Tabares, meanwhile, is making his ONE Championship debut after making history as Mexico’s first WBC Muay Thai International Champion.

#2. John Lineker focused on righting the wrongs from first fight with Fabricio Andrade

John Lineker arguably had the toughest fight of his career when he fought Fabricio Andrade for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title at ONE on Prime Video 3 back in October 2022. Andrade seemed to have the better going in the matchup, but an inadvertent knee to Lineker’s groin caused the fight to end in a no-contest.

Lineker, who’s displayed a stoic demeanor more often than not, admitted that the negative comments regarding his performance made a bit of an impact on him.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Lineker said he actively stayed away from the comments section whenever he saw posts about his first match against Andrade.

“I tried not to even see the comments. To this day I haven't logged in to see the comments about it. I preferred to focus and correct my mistakes, to show that I'm capable, that what happened was a technical error, a silly mistake on the scales.”

He added:

“Now I have the chance to correct that mistake and prove that I can do it. Losing the title messed me up, but now I'm motivated to get back what's mine.”

Lineker has a chance to run it back and correct his mistakes when he faces Andrade in their rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24 at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok. The card is available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

#1. Fabricio Andrade laser-focused on perfect ending to John Lineker rematch

Fabricio Andrade was a shot away from becoming the new ONE bantamweight world champion, but a misplaced knee strike tore that dream to shreds. ‘Wonder Boy’ was dominating John Lineker during their match at ONE on Prime Video 3 until an inadvertent knee strike landed square on Lineker’s groin that forced a no-contest finish to the match.

Andrade, who holds a perfect record in ONE Championship, knew that his golden opportunity had slipped away from his hands and that he was ready to right his wrongs heading into ONE Fight Night 7 this February 24.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post, Andrade said that he will look to finish Lineker to ultimately claim his first piece of ONE Championship gold.

"I'm going to knock him out. I'm going to finish what I started. He was supposed to get knocked out in the first fight. I'm just going to finish this one now."
