#3. Zhang Peimian gunning for Jonathan Di Bella rematch

Zhang Peimian has only one thing on his mind, and that is to capture ONE Championship gold.

The Chinese phenom was a breath away from achieving his dream only for it to come crashing down in his loss to eventual ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella.

Zhang, however, must first go through his next match at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video this weekend. The 19-year-old will take on debuting Torepchi Dongak on March 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Zhang said that his goal is still a second match with Di Bella for the world title:

"[I want] Di Bella because he holds my belt. No one gets me more interested than him.”

Di Bella and Zhang met for the ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship at ONE 162 in October 2022. The ‘Fighting Rooster’ dropped to a unanimous decision loss.

ONE Fight Night 8 will be available live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

#2. Itsuki Hirata reveals her training situation in New York

Japanese star Itsuki Hirata is pulling out all the stops in her next match against Ham Seo Hee.

Hirata transferred base from her home nation of Japan to the United States to train at four different gyms to prepare for her South Korean rival.

In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘Android 18’ revealed that she would move between New Jersey and New York during her training camp:

“Right now, I'm training at four different gyms: 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, United MMA for striking, Brooklyn MMA for MMA, and Serra-Longo for MMA, and strength and conditioning in New Jersey.”

Hirata is one of the best grapplers in the stacked women’s atomweight MMA division boasting six wins including three finishes.

Ham, meanwhile, is one of the most decorated women fighters of all time with 25 wins under her belt and a perfect 2-0 record in ONE.

#1. ONE Championship fighter Iuri Lapicus dies in tragic motorcycle accident
