Payton Talbott became a professional mixed martial artist in 2021. He kept running through his opponents and compiled a record of 5 wins and 0 losses. Talbott appeared at Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 7, Week 1, in a bout against Reyes Cortez Jr. The fight went the distance of the stipulated three rounds; it also became Talbott’s first fight to last through the three rounds. Talbott was adjudged the winner by a unanimous decision.
