ONE middleweight world champion 'The Dutch Knight' Reinier de Ridder is sending a little friendly trash talk at the prodigious grappling twin brothers, Kade and Tye Ruotolo.
On Instagram, the Dutch submission specialist shared:
"Here's a picture of me and my sons. Do you think one of them can beat their dad in a grappling match already?"

Both Kade and Tye Ruotolo are unbeaten in ONE Championship's submission grappling division. Tye has submitted both Garry Tonon and Marat Gafurov in the ONE circle. Meanwhile, Kade has defeated Matheus Gabriel, Uali Kurzhev, and Shinya Aoki. Plus, he has earned the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship in addition to his record-breaking ADCC world title.
'The Dutch Knight' de Ridder considers himself a submission specialist fighter in MMA. The vast majority of his MMA bouts have been won by way of submission. Including when he defeated Aung La N Sang to capture the ONE middleweight throne.
Tye Rutolo wants Reinier de Ridder
Grappling phenom Tye Ruotolo is interested in testing himself against the ONE middleweight world champion Reinier de Ridder. In a post-fight interview, Tye explained the challenge he seeks:
“When de Ridder gets all healed up, I'll be stoked to put a D'arce on him.”
This was shortly after Reinier de Ridder lost his light heavyweight crown via knockout. Kade added:
"Like you said though, [de Ridder] had a pretty rough one tonight, that KO finish was nasty ... When he has recovered and [is] ready for it, I think a jiu-jitsu match with him is probably not as intimidating as someone like Anatoly."
Kade also said that Tye is far more interested in a showdown against de Ridder, but would happily compete against him if the situation presents itself. He continued:
"It was actually Tye who really wants that matchup. Tye's actually been looking for that one for a minute now. Both of us are open to it, for sure. I'd be more than willing to get in there with him."
