Rinya Nakamura is a professional mixed martial artist signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A budding prospect in the promotion, Nakamura competes in the bantamweight division. He started with wrestling as a combat sports athlete and also won the U23 world championship in 2017 in the 61 kg weight category. Nakamura switched to professional mixed martial arts in 2020 and became a full-time mixed martial artist.

Rinya Nakamura made his professional mixed martial arts debut against Takumi Arai at LDH Martial Arts: Fighting Dreamers on May 15, 2021. Arai made a dominant statement by dispatching Arai in the first round with a vicious KO to register a first-round KO victory. Nakamura took part in Road to UFC season 1: Episodes 3 and 6 and then went on to win the final of the tournament.

Rinya Nakamura faced Toshio Kazma in the final at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Spivak on February 4, 2023. He dominated Kazma by outclassing him inside the first minute of the bout with the help of a first-round KO. Nakamura is building up his professional career riding on his ability to finish his opponents, he has remained clinical so far in his career ever since turning professional.
