‘Robocop’ Roberto Soldic said he still wants to rematch Murad Ramazanov despite heading into another welterweight clash this upcoming May.
The former KSW double champion is en route to his second promotional outing at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, which will take place on May 5 at the 1st Bank Center in Denver, Colorado.
Unbeknownst to him and to many die-hard fans, Soldic never thought he would be knocking on Zebaztian Kadestam’s doorstep immediately after his botched debut fight against Murad Ramazanov ended in a no-contest last December.
Believing an immediate rematch with Ramazanov was warranted, Soldic was surprised when he was given a different fight. In his own words, the 28-year-old striker explained to ONE:

“Of course, I [would like a rematch with Ramazanov]. But, after my debut fight, the matchmaker came inside the room and said, ‘We have other plans for you.’ They put me in America, so I’m going to fight. What can I do? I cannot wait.”
In a turn of events, ‘Robocop’ will face another dangerous foe and striker in ‘The Bandit’ Zebaztian Kadestam. The Swedish giant is a former ONE welterweight world champion who has been in power for weeks. Soldic, meanwhile, wants to establish himself as an absolute superstar in ONE Championship.
North American audiences can watch ONE Fight Night 10 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video.
Roberto Soldic happy to fight on the same card as Demetrious Johnson and many more “big names”
Despite not getting the news he anticipated, Roberto Soldic is nonetheless excited to perform on the same fight card as Demetrious Johnson and other big stars.
Speaking to ONE, Roberto Soldic explained:
“I’m very happy I’m fighting in America because I’m on a great card too. Demetrious Johnson against Adriano Moraes. Sage Northcutt is back. Rodtang Jitmuangnon is there, Stamp Fairtex, and all the big names. I’m also on that card, and this makes me go to the gym and train, and keep working hard.”
The Croatian welterweight has conquered many European promotions before becoming a free agent to join ONE Championship. Thus, competing on American ground for the first time, is a massive opportunity for him to prove his capabilities on the global and international stage against a big name like Zebaztian Kadestam.
