Former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldic is less than a week away from making his highly-anticipated ONE Championship debut. The Croatian star announced his signing with the promotion in August during an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. Less than four months later, ‘Robocop’ will put his skills on display, but he won’t have it easy in his first appearance.
Soldic is tasked with taking out undefeated Russian standout Murad Ramazanov. Undefeated under the ONE Championship banner, Ramazanov is an impressive 11-0 with seven wins by way of finish.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Roberto Soldic spoke about his first challenge inside the Circle and revealed part of his game plan heading into the ONE on Prime Video 5 showdown.
“It's going to be a good fight. I don't know if he wants to fight with me. I'll put pressure but I'll try to finish him in the second round.”

Roberto Soldic’s ONE Championship debut will kick off a main card stacked with three massive ONE world title fights, including a champion vs. champion showdown between two-division world champion Reinier de Ridder and interim heavyweight titleholder Anatoly Malykhin. Roberto Soldic and Murad Ramazanov fighting for a potential welterweight title opportunity at ONE on Prime Video 5
Newly crowned ONE welterweight world champion Christian Lee may not have to wait long to find out who his next opponent is. Fresh off his victory over Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Warrior’ will almost certainly have his eyes locked on the welterweight showdown between Roberto Soldic and Murad Ramazanov.
During the ONE on Prime Video 4 post-fight press conference, ONE founder and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed that the battle between Soldic and Ramazanov could possibly be essentially a world title eliminator, with the winner likely to be the first man to challenge Christian Lee for his place atop the division.
“I think you know, we're going to see some fireworks come December 2, Amazon Prime with Roberto Soldic versus Murad Ramazanov…so it'd be very, very fascinating. I think the winner of that, depending on how the fight shapes out, could be fighting for the title against Christian.”
Should Ramazanov get the victory, it will be his fourth straight inside the Circle, including a win over former welterweight world champion Zebaztian Kadestam. On the flip side, Soldic will be making his ONE debut, but his status as a former two-division champion riding a seven-fight win streak is more than enough to justify a ONE world title fight. He just needs to get through the dangerous Russian grappler first.
