ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon discussed two Thai legends that he looks to for inspiration as the still-young Muay Thai star navigates his own incredible career.
Fresh off his dominant win over Joseph ‘The Hurricane’ Lasiri at ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Iron Man’ revealed the two men he looks up to the most during his post-fight interview on Friday night:
“The legend or someone that I look up to is Nai Khanom Tom, one of the legendary boxers in Thailand, and the other person is Buakaw who inspires me in boxing. But as I informed you earlier, this is my career and I have been doing my best all time…I have given it all in my boxing career, and this is what I do best in my life.”
While Rodtang has those that he is looking to for inspiration, there is no doubt that ‘The Iron Man’ is already inspiring a new generation of Muay Thai stars with his unparalleled power, aggression, and dominance inside the Circle. His dominant victory over another ONE world champion, Joseph Lasiri, further established that Rodtang Jitmuangnon stands alone in the world of combat sports and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Who’s next for ‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon?
With another successful defense of his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title, Rodtang Jitmuangnon is looking ahead to his next challenger. We will likely find out exactly who that is in less than two weeks when the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix tournament final goes down at ONE 164.
Tournament favorite Superlek Kiatmoo9 will take on short-notice tournament replacement Panpayak Jitmuangnong for the WGP championship and become the rightful No. 1 contender for the flyweight Muay Thai crown. Neither of these men has ever stepped into the Circle with Rodtang, but it’s safe to say that fans are eager to see the Muay Thai dream match between ‘The Iron Man’ and Superlek.
The two Muay Thai warriors appeared to be on a collision course with both originally appearing on opposite sides of the tournament bracket. Unfortunately, Rodtang Jitmuangnon was forced to withdraw from his semi-final match against Savvas Michael at ONE on Prime Video 1, paving the way for Panpayak to step in, taking Rodtang’s spot, and score a second-round knockout against Michael.
