Rose 'Thug' Namajunas, a seasoned mixed martial artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has been a part of the UFC since she was 22 years old. Following her promotional debut against Carla Esparza in 2014, Namajunas went on to become a two-time UFC strawweight champion. Namajunas first gained widespread notoriety by winning the UFC Women's strawweight championship in 2017, defeating the previously unbeaten Joanna Jedrzejczyk with a first-round knockout at UFC 217. In 2018, she successfully defended her title in a rematch against Jedrzejczyk. She won the belt for the second time by defeating the current UFC strawweight champion Zhang Weili at UFC 261.

After her second loss to Carla Esparza at UFC 274, Namajunas took a 16-month-long hiatus before moving up a division to flyweight. Her debut in the newer weight class was unsuccessful as she lost against Manon Fiorot via unanimous decision. However, ‘Thug’ bounced back in her next fight by beating Amanda Ribas via unanimous decision in March 2024. With a clinical record of 13 wins and 6 losses (13-6-0), the Wisconsin native is now gearing up to square off against Erin Blanchfield on November 2, 2024.

Despite a 13-year age difference and some controversy surrounding their relationship, Namajunas and Barry remain committed to each other.
