Shamil Gaziev made his professional debut in professional mixed martial arts on October 24, 2020, in a heavyweight showdown against Denis Gvozdev. The duo faced each other at BFC 63: Belarusian Fighting Championship, and Gaziev rained a flurry of punches over Gvozdev in the first round to seize an aggressive first-round TKO victory. The successful outing to the MMA ring propelled Gaziev to the upper echelons of success in his professional career.

Shamil Gaziev appeared at The Dana White Contender’s Series: Season 7, Week 7, and locked horns with Greg Velasco. He outplayed Velasco by submitting him in the second round to win and announce his arrival on the leading MMA professional mixed martial arts promotion.
