Stephen Thompson's Losses
Stephen Thompson suffered his first professional loss in mixed martial arts against Matt Brown at UFC 145. Recovering from the loss, Thompson went on to compile a multi-fight winning streak before it was snapped by Tyron Woodley by defeating him at UFC 209 resulting in Thompson's second loss. Winning a fight after the loss, Thompson suffered consecutive losses against Darren Till and Anthony Pettis at UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Till and at UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Pettis concerning his third, and fourth losses in the process. He returned to winning ways after the defeats and won consecutive fights before suffering consecutive losses against Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad at UFC 264 and UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Daukaus. The defeats took his losing tally to six, Thompson's seventh professional loss came against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 296 when the undefeated Kazakh fighter submitted him in the second round.
