Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak hopes to compete in mixed martial arts like her older sister and fellow ONE Championship standout Nat ‘Wondergirl’ Jaroonsak.
On Friday, Anna Jaroonsak will return to the Circle for a rematch with Russia’s Ekaterina Vandaryeva. The two photogenic fighters are plenty familiar with one another, having squared off a year ago at ONE: Heavy Hitters in a Muay Thai bout. They’ll run it back at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, but from the sound of it, ‘Supergirl’ is already looking to follow in her sister’s footsteps and transition to MMA.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Jaroonsak revealed that she has been practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu at Marrok Force MMA and alongside her sister who dipped her toe into MMA last year:
“I learned some BJJ techniques at Marrok Force MMA with BJJ black-belt coach, DJ Jackson. And sometimes, I practice BJJ with my sister [Nat Wondergirl]. I think if I train more in this sport, I will probably compete in MMA someday.”

In May, her older sister, ‘Wondergirl,’ delivered an impressive MMA debut by submitting ‘Fighting Queen’ Zeba Bano via first-round submission. ‘Supergirl’ will look for her third-straight win in Muay Thai competition on Friday. Fans in North America can catch all the action live and for free on Amazon Prime Video.
‘Supergirl’ proud of her older sister’s first win in mixed martial arts
Mulling over the idea of making her own jump into mixed martial arts, Anna Jaroonsak was extremely proud of her older sister’s performance as she made her own MMA debut. Nat ‘Wondergirl’ Jaroonsak squared off with Zeba Bano, an Indian scrapper with an undefeated record heading into the contest. It only took ‘Wondergirl’ 82 seconds to secure a submission victory. Speaking on her sister’s incredible debut performance, ‘Supergirl’ said:
"She did great, she was always so calm and did not panic in any situation, even though she was overly excited because it was her first MMA fight. I believe in her skills because I have seen her practice every single day. She is always improving and always learning new skills.”
With her first mixed martial arts win inside the Circle, ‘Wondergirl’ now has a taste for gold. ONE Championship gold to be specific, but she’ll need to get things started with a win in 2023.
ONE has not officially announced her return to action as of yet, but fans are eagerly awaiting the return of ONE’s newest strawweight competitor.
