Tammi Musumeci is inspired by the brother-sister duo of Christian and Angela Lee. Musumeci. The older sister of reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci made her promotional debut on Friday (Mar. 24) night at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
Musumeci scored a unanimous decision victory in the evening’s opening match, besting fellow IBJJF world champion Bianca Basilio. Following her successful debut, she said that she hopes to become a ONE world champion like her brother Mikey Musumeci.
She hopes that the two of them to rule the promotion’s submission grappling division the way Christian and Angela Lee do in the world of mixed martial arts.
“It would mean so much to me to become a champion like my brother. It would be similar to what the Lee family has accomplished, and that would be really cool.”

Christian and Angela Lee are two of the most successful competitors in ONE Championship history. Not only do they carry three ONE world titles between them, but the pair are also two of the most prolific finishers in the history of the promotion.
Angela Lee boasts an incredible 82% finish rate with eight career submissions inside the Circle. Meanwhile, Christian Lee has an incredible 94% finish rate with an unprecedented 12 knockouts and another four by way of submission.
It’s certainly understandable why Tammi Musumeci would look toward the Lee family for inspiration inside the Circle.
Tammi Musumeci ready for return to combat sports’ biggest stage
Tammi Musumeci is looking forward to her sophomore appearance inside the Circle.
After scoring a win in her promotional debut on Friday night, Musumeci said that she's ready to return as soon as the promotion has a matchup for her.
“I’m down for whenever, though. I’m really pumped. This was a great experience, and I would definitely want to do it as soon as possible.”
Despite Tammi Musumeci’s immense success in the world of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the New Jersey native has always aspired to be more than a submission grappler. Putting her education first, Musumeci earned her law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2020 and has primarily focused on her career as a lawyer.
However, it looks like the bright lights and high stakes of competing in the world’s biggest martial arts organization may have driven her to succeed in the sport for more than a decade.
