He made a successful outing to the octagon in his inaugural showdown in the promotion by outclassing Carlos Candelario at UFC Fight Night: Blachowicz vs. Rakic on May 14, 2022, by a unanimous decision. Taira maintained his dominance in his coming fights and has positioned himself as a formidable contender in the flyweight division of the promotion.


Having made his professional debut in 2018, Tatsuro Taira has switched between multiple weight classes as a professional fighter, where he has found success in each showing.
