The entire Lumpinee Stadium will be on its feet for Tawanchai PK.Saenchai as he makes his first featherweight Muay Thai world title defense against Jamal Yusupov at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs Andrade II on Prime Video.

The 23-year-old striking savant rose to global prominence last year after unseating Petchmorakot Petchyindee. In doing so, he became the undisputed king of the 155-pound Muay Thai division.

He’ll be tested in his first tour of duty as world champion against a streaking challenger looking to silence an entire arena. The No.2-ranked Yusupov has been perfect in his first three appearances inside the circle, turning back tough adversaries Yodsanklai IWE, Samy Sana, and Jo Nattawut.

This high-stakes striking war, along with the rest of the stacked ONE Fight Night 7 card, will air live in US primetime. It will be free for Prime Video users in the United States and Canada on February 24.

Will Tawanchai be victorious in his much-anticipated homecoming?

Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is eager to return to where it all began.

Before taking ONE Championship by storm, the Thai sensation was an unknown commodity looking to make a name for himself in Thailand’s unforgiving Muay Thai circuit.

The Pattaya, Thailand, native showed promise early on and went on to become Lumpinee Stadium’s Fighter of the Year in 2018.

Now, Tawanchai will return to Lumpinee Stadium with a massive gold strap on his shoulders.

While thrilled to fight in front of a roaring hometown crowd, the 23-year-old admits to getting jitters in his first world title defense.

Skill-wise, there’s no denying Tawanchai is ahead of the curve. His youthful energy, technical mastery, and brutal savagery make him a dangerous fight for anyone.

However, can Tawanchai deliver while carrying the weight of an entire country on his shoulders? Let’s not forget he’ll be facing a challenger who enters this match with nothing to lose.

These questions will be answered soon at ONE Fight Night 7.

Can Jamal Yusupov shock the world?

All eyes will be on Thailand's hero at ONE Fight Night 7, but Jamal Yusupov doesn’t seem to mind. After all, becoming the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion is the only validation he needs.

‘Yeniceri’ paid his dues inside the circle and has been rewarded with a well-earned world title shot against an absolute rockstar. Despite the Thai’s glowing credentials, the underdog Yusupov believes he has all the necessary tools to upset the mighty world champion in his old stomping grounds.

For starters, the 39-year-old has the utmost belief in his hands and believes he is a better boxer than Tawanchai. ONE fans have witnessed just how destructive the Turkish-Russian slugger can be when he lets his hands go. He overwhelmed his last three opponents with incredible hand speed and methodical combinations.

‘Yeniceri’ also packs a lot of power in his left fist, which he used to knockout legendary Thai fighter Yodsanklai IWE in his promotional debut.

Moreover, the Hyperion Fighters standout brings forth a wealth of experience from his years fighting in Europe and Asia.

The reigning world champion is still the overwhelming favorite heading into this match. Yusupov, though, is hellbent on ending the Tawanchai dynasty before it even begins.
