Teofimo Lopes is an American professional boxer and the current World Boxing Organization and Ring magazine light welterweight champion of the world. He also held the unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and Ring lightweight titles from 2019 to 2012. Lopez represented Honduras as an amateur during his early days.

Teofimo Lopez was drawn to combat sports as a child. He started training as early as six under the apprenticeship of his father. Lopez signed with Top Rank in October 2016 and featured in his first professional match on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jessie Vargas bout on November 5, 2016.

In his inaugural professional bout, Teofimo Lopez squared off against Ishwar Siqueiros in a four-round bout. Lopez won the fight by quickly dispatching Siqueiros in the second round via a knockout. He maintained the momentum of his first professional fight and stormed further in his professional career by compiling successive victories under his name.
