Joe Rogan is a known critic of COVID-19 vaccines. So, on a past episode of his podcast, episode #2029 to be exact, he detailed his feelings on the matter to fellow comedian Bill Maher. In particular, the popular podcaster opined that pharmaceutical companies deliberately misrepresented their vaccines.
He aimed criticism at vaccine manufacturers, accusing them of misleading consumers about the efficacy of their products. This enraged him to no end, and according to him, Rogan was only informed of the vaccine's alleged shortcomings by an email from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
"One of the people in this, the first Pfizer study, died from COVID. One of the people that got the virus, died. Two people in the placebo group died. That is literally where they came up with the term, '100% effective.' Did you know that? Because two is 100% more than one. I didn't believe that, I said, 'That's bullsh*t.' And then Robert [F.] Kennedy Jr. sent me an email with the actual studies, and I read it and was like, 'Holy sh*t. They can do that?' They can just... that's just a lie."

Rogan is noted for his admiration for Kennedy, who is himself an anti-vaccine activist and set to serve as Untied States Secretary of Health and Human Services under Donald Trump's upcoming second administration. In fact, the longtime UFC commentator's admiration for Kennedy almost led to true conflict with Trump.
At the time, Kennedy was running as an independent candidate in the United States 2024 presidential elections. Rogan elected to praise him, which Trump confused for an official endorsement, causing him to lash out. While the two men ultimately buried the hatchet, it was a tense period in American politics.
Joe Rogan downplayed the COVID-19 pandemic
On episode #2241 of The Joe Rogan Experience, he hosted American drug researcher Rick Strassman. During the pair's discussion, Rogan expressed his opinion that the danger associated with the COVID-19 pandemic was overblown.
"I'm terrified of pandemics for sure. I just... that wasn't one to be terrified of, and they made us terrified of it, which makes me terrified."
