Tim Tszyu is a professional boxer who competes in the light-middleweight weight class inside the squared circle. With combat sports running in his veins, Tszyu is the son of the iconic former light-welterweight champion of the world, Kostya. Chasing his father’s marks, sports, and athleticism has been deeply ingrained in him since he was a kid. After trying his hand at multiple sports initially, Tim Tszyu eventually turned to boxing and made his professional debut inside the squared circle in 2016 at the age of 22. He had an impressionable career as an amateur before becoming a professional boxer. In 2011, he suffered an injury to his wrist, which made him stay away from the ring for a period of four years.

Tim Tszyu returned to the squared circle in 2016, after amassing a record of 33 wins and 1 loss as a professional fighter. His return this time was his inaugural professional fight against Zorro Cassady on December 17, 2016, in Australia. Tszyu was tested to his limits in the six-round fight but was able to prevail over his rival, Cassady, by defeating him by a unanimous decision. Once Tim Tszyu’s career took off with a win, he never looked back. As of April 3, 2025, the Australian native maintains an almost unblemished record of 24 wins and two losses (24-2-0). Tszyu has knocked out 17 of his 24 rivals and secured decision victories against 7 of them. Despite the shadow of his legendary father surrounding him in his professional fights, Tszyu has been able to propel himself toward writing a legacy of his own.
