Tommy Fury puts Oleksandr Usyk on blast after Tyson Fury fight falls through

Tommy Fury has pushed the blame on Oleksandr Usyk for disrupting Tyson Fury's next fight.

'The Gypsy King' was expected to face 'The Cat' next month at Wembley Stadium in London. The bout was going to be one of the most important in the history of the division, as the fight would crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000.

Sadly, the matchup won't be happening. Earlier this week, team Usyk pulled the plug on the fight after months of back-and-forth negotiations. The issue holding the bout back was reportedly the revenue split from a possible rematch. Usyk wanted the split in his favor 70/30 if he won the first fight, as he agreed to the same split for Fury.

Nonetheless, both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are now without opponents. While many blame the Brit for the fight falling apart, the heavyweight champion's brother, Tommy, doesn't believe he's at fault. 'TNT' discussed the situation in a recent interview with Sky Sports.

There, the cruiserweight prospect pushed the blame onto the Ukrainian for the fight not happening:

“The reason why this fight isn't getting made isn't down to Tyson at all. He wants to fight, he's proven to everybody. He doesn't fear any man, especially not a cruiserweight who can't do anything anyway.”

Tyson Fury next fight: Who will 'The Gypsy King' fight now?

The winner of Joe Joyce vs. Zhilei Zhang is expected to be Tyson Fury's next fight.

'The Gypsy King' has previously praised 'Juggernaut' in the past. In fact, following Joyce's win over Fury's training partner, Joe Parker, last year, the heavyweight champion teased that the two might one-day clash.

It now seems that the clash could come far sooner than expected. As first reported by Mike Coppinger of ESPN Ringside, if Joyce wins his next fight on April 15th, he will likely face Fury next. Granted, that's far from a guarantee.

The heavyweight contender will meet Zheili Zhang in a de-facto number-one contender fight next month. Heading into the contest, 'Big Bang' is expected to be a massive underdog. However, Zhang is still a solid boxer, holding a professional record of 22-1.

Regardless, Tyson Fury won't have to wait long to see who he will face after negotiations with Oleksandr Usyk fell through. Granted, a clash with Joyce or Zhang is not likely to be what the British star had in mind.
