In his prime, Anderson Silva fights were the most entertaining to watch. The Spider knew how good he was, which was evident in all of his fights. It was a pure joy to watch him poetically bounce around the Octagon as he nonchalantly mocked his opponents and made them look stupid.

Silva was undefeated from April 22, 2006, to July 6, 2013, during which the Middleweight legend broke a plethora of records. He won the Middleweight title in October 2007 and reigned supreme until Chris Weidman knocked him out cleanly at UFC 162 in July 2013.

His reign not only included his then-record breaking 10 title defenses but a handful of non-title bouts at Light Heavyweight and Middleweight divisions respectively. It was during this time that the iconic Brazilian went on the longest win streak in UFC history by winning 16 straight fights, most of which were highlight reel finishes.

Consecutive losses to Weidman, a doping violation, surgeries and his recent dip in form may have considerably dented his stock. Irrespective of the aforementioned factors, his incomparable class and greatness eclipse everything.
