Tyler Denny vs. Hamzah Sheeraz took place at Riyadh Season: Wembley Edition at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The bout served as the co-main event for the heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois.
A lot was at stake for the middleweight competitors as they had a massive platform that could see both become bigger stars in the sport. In addition, it was contested for the EBU European middleweight championship.
Denny was the reigning and defending champion and came into the bout as a heavy +400 underdog according to several sportsbooks. He most recently fought Felix Cash this past June, earning a technical decision to retain his championship and improving his pro record to 19-2-3.
Sheeraz, on the other hand, came into the bout as the reigning WBC Silver middleweight champion with an unbeaten 20-0 pro record and was a massive -650 favorite according to several sportsbooks. He most recently competed at the 5 vs. 5: Queensbury vs. Matchroom event this past June, where he earned an 11th-round TKO over Austin Williams.

It was a dominant display from Sheeraz as he quickly dropped Denny with a left-hook during the opening moments of the fight.
Despite surviving the round, the bout turned out to prove the oddsmakers right as it looked as though there was a significant gap in skill level between the two competitors. The bout didn't last much longer as Sheeraz knocked Denny down once again with a combination in the second round, which resulted in the referee to wave it off.
With the win, Sheeraz remains the Commonwealth and WBC Silver middleweight champion and the new EBU European middleweight champion.

Following his dominant second round knockout win over Tyler Denny, Hamzah Sheeraz discussed what bouts could be next for him in his career. Sheeraz definitely set the bar high as the co-main event for Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois.
While speaking to TNT Sports' Jaydee Dyer after his win, Sheeraz mentioned that he is ready to take on all comers and put the 160-pound division on notice:
"I am coming. Hamzah Sheeraz is coming for the 160 [pound] division and I'll promise you I'll unify this division."
