UFC 189 fight card changed due to an injury!

John Hathaway has constantly been struggling with series of injuries and Crohn's disease.

UFC welterweight contender, Hathaway has now been forced to withdraw from the upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) main card fight of UFC 189 against Gunnar Nelson due to an undisclosed injury. The 27-year-old Brit’s last fight was an year back against Dong Hyun Kim at The Ultimate Fighter China finale, where he was knocked out in the third round.

Brandon Thatch, who was supposed to fight John Howard in a UFC 189 "Prelims" bout has now replaced 'The Hitman”. Thatch agreed to fight Nelson on about two weeks notice. Meanwhile, Howard will be facing Cathal Pendred, who has been on a impressive winning form. Both bouts will be contested in the welterweight division.

UFC 189, the most anticipated UFC pay-per-view of the year will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 11, 2015. The main event bout between Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor, co-main event fight between Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald are the most expected matches of the night.
