Light Heavyweight contender and brutal knockout artist Anthony Johnson is now set to face Jimi Manuwa in a three round fight at UFC 191. This is the first time he will step into the Octagon since his lopsided loss to current champion Daniel Cormier. Jimi Manuwa has won 1 of his last two fights, the loss coming from current number one contender Alexander Gustafsson.
Anthony Rumble Johnson will look to finish and look spectacular to get another title shot, Manuwa who has an impressive record of 19-1 needs to win this fight to show that he can hang with the big boys at the top 5 tier of the division. Overall, a very interesting matchup. Two fighters with unreal knockout power and athleticism collide in an epic matchup which will probably be underhyped.
Rumble has probably learnt from his mistakes in Cormier fight, working more on cardio and takedown defense and scrambles. Manuwa looked fairly decent in his last fight against Jan Blachowicz and has proved he can go all out for 3 rounds, we have yet to see that from Rumble. All his fights end early due to his knockout power or when his opponent gets his back and submits him. Either way, this anticipated matchup mostly will not disappoint.
