Since coming to the UFC, the Russian Fighter, Alexander Volkov had been on an unbeaten run. He had beaten Stefan Struve in the fight of the night, before, in his last fight, he had managed to defeat the likes of the Fabricio Werdum in a big fight that saw the veteran knocked out in the first few minutes of the fourth round.

Volkov had been touted as the next up and coming star. He had beaten everyone that had come in his way, and Derrick Lewis did not look like the person who would put a stop to his winning run.

Looks can be deceptive.

After being dominated over the course of three rounds, Lewis landed one huge punch on the jaw of Volkov with 20 seconds to go.

It would prove to be enough, as he was knocked down, and a few hammer blows following the shot made sure that Lewis got the win.
