Israel Adesanya is set to fight Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden.
The event will take place on November 12th in one of the most stacked cards of the year. The highly-awaited title fight between "The Last Stylebender" and the only man to knock him out is drawing up a lot of attention and promises to be a brawl.
The UFC has not released an official statement regarding the purse for the fight. Pereira and Adesaya's most recent fight earnings should give us an idea as to how much they will earn at UFC 281.
Israel Adesanya last fought Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 279. According to Sports Zion, the Middleweight Champion made a whopping $1.8 million from the fight.

"The Last Stylebender" is one of the biggest PPV stars in the UFC and one of the most dominant champions, which is why he earns so much. Alex Pereira, on the other hand, has only fought thrice in the UFC so far. Even though he is earning more than he was earning during his Kickboxing days, it is nowhere near what Adesanya will earn.
In his last fight against Sean Strickland, he earned $188,000 according to Sports Zion.
Alex Pereira sends a chilling message to Israel Adesanya ahead of their UFC 281 clash
Alex Pereira is ready to face Israel Adesanya for the third time in his career. The last two times the pair fought were in the Kickboxing ring. The Brazilian beat "The Last Stylebender" twice and even knocked him out in their second fight.
As he prepares to take on his Kickboxing rival in the UFC Octagon for the first time, he sent a chilling message, reminding him of his losses:
"Adesanya never thought I'd arrive. In Brazil, there's a saying, "He who's beaten up, never forgets." I'm certain he hasn't forgotten. I'm coming and his time is up," said Pereira.
Alex Pereira, whose nickname "Poatan" translates to "Hands of Stone" in his indigenous language, has been trash-talking Adesanya on social media.
Most recently, he uploaded a video of himself with Elsa, a character from the Disney movie Frozen. This would be in response to Adesanya's comments where he said he would 'freeze the Brazilian like Elsa.'
