Jamahal Hill received a golden opportunity to cement his legacy in the UFC. The organization booked the American to face Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 for the vacant light-heavyweight belt.
Hill has fought seven times in the UFC, winning five of his outings and losing just once. 'Sweet Dreams' recorded a no-contest result against Klidson Abreu after testing positive for marijuana despite beating Abreu.
Since beating Alexander Poppeck in Dana White's Contender Series back in 2019, Hill has defeated the likes of Ovince St. Preux, Jimmy Crute, Johnny Walker, and Thiago Santos, among others.

Jamahal Hill has only lost once in his professional MMA career, with Paul Craig getting the better of the American at UFC 263: Adesanya vs. Vettori 2. Hill suffered an arm injury during the opening five minutes against Craig, which caused the bout to end early after unprotected strikes from the Scottish fighter.
However, since losing the bout, the 31-year-old has bounced back well. Hill has won his last three outings via stoppage, beating Jimmy Crute, Johnny Walker, and Thiago Santos in back-to-back bouts.
