UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka 2 was an MMA pay-per-view event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that took place on June 29, 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The main event for the night was a rematch between the light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, and the former champion, Jiri Prochazka. The light heavyweight giants earlier met at UFC 295 and Pereira won the vacant title via a second-round TKO. Moreover, Pereira successfully defended the title once against Jamahal Hill at UFC 300, and Prochazka was coming off a second-round TKO against Aleksandar Rakic at the same event. Pereira once again knocked out Prochazka via a head kick in the 2nd round to retain his title.
Earlier, the main event of UFC 303 was supposed to be a welterweight clash between the former two-division champion ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor and Michael ‘Iron’ Chandler. McGregor, the UFC's biggest star, was about to make a comeback after nearly three years away from the octagon following his devastating defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. However, the bout got postponed as McGregor pulled out due to an injury.
The co-main event for this upcoming fight card was a light-heavyweight clash between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. Unfortunately, Rountree had to pull out of the event because he tested positive for a prohibited substance and Hill pulled out due to an injury. Hence, the co-main event for the night was a lightweight bout between Brian Ortega and Diego Lopez. However, in a surprising turn of events, Brian Ortega withdrew on the day of the fight and was replaced by Dan '50k' Ige. Diego Lopes emerged victorious in the fight via a unanimous decision.
A Light heavyweight bout between the former title challenger Anthony Smith and Roman Dolidze also took place with Dolidze clinching the win.
A welterweight bout between Ian Machado Garry and Michael Page was the first fight of the main card, with Ian Machado Garry winning via a unanimous decision.
Other notable matchups on the card feature Payton Talbott taking on Yanis Ghemmouri, Mayra Bueno Silva facing off against Macy Chiasson, and Joe Pyfer going head-to-head with Marc-André Barriault.
