After the Irishman's recent claim that he's in talks with India's Ambani family for a fight against Paul, several active and retired fighters have weighed in on the potential outcome. Thomson joined the brigade with his prediction on the WEIGHING IN podcast.
Thomson picked 'The Maverick' to win because of McGregor's inactivity, success, and the current distractions in his personal life:
"I would lean towards Logan only because of the inactivity and all of the s**t going on with Conor outside the [ring]. ... I don't know what dedication you're going to get out of a guy who's worth $400 million."
"You can not put 100% into your fight career when you have all these businesses that are in trouble and all these things that are occurring that you have to make right. You just can't put your attention where it needs to be."

Ex-NFL star's wife Kylie Kelce comments on dethroning Joe Rogan on Spotify
Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce's wife, Kylie Kelce, launched her podcast Not Gonna Lie on Spotify. Immediately after its debut, the show rocketed to first place on the streaming platform's Top 100 Podcasts in the U.S., dethroning The Joe Rogan Experience from the #1 position.
In an interview with the New York Times, Kelce said that she "couldn't care less" about the numbers or toppling Joe Rogan. However, she admitted that the UFC commentator's listeners getting "triggered" gets her going.
"I’m focused on putting out content that people like to consume. If that puts us there for a week, cool. If it puts us there for longer than that, cool. But I also don’t need to feed any conflict that’s created by it."
Despite criticism from the likes of UFC presenter Charly Arnolt, Kelce's podcast recorded a combined 25 million audio downloads and social media views in the first week, according to a report by The Spun.
Tom Aspinall sends a warning message to Joe Rogan
Tom Aspinall spoke on Jon Jones' latest UFC outing against Stipe Miocic.
The Brit is expected to face the UFC heavyweight champion next, even though 'Bones' demanded "f*** you" money for the same and has also expressed interest in Alex Pereira instead.
On his YouTube channel, Aspinall said:
"Let's remember, I ain't Stipe, completely different. And I possess a whole different attribute of skills, aggression, speed, power, and everything else to Stipe Miocic. So, Stipe is retired, much respect to him. Much respect to Jon Jones, as well, believe it or not, but I'm coming for both of them belts and 2025 is when it's going to happen."
