UFC brass Jeff Novitzky weighs in on ostarine

UFC's Senior VP of Athlete Heath and Performance, Jeff Novitzky, weighed in on ostarine, the drug that was found in Ryan Garcia's blood. The raging controversy surrounding the positive result eventually led to Garcia being suspended from boxing for a year and his win over Devin Haney being overturned to a 'No Contest'.

Novitzky said:

"⁦Ostarine can come from anywhere…even sweat. 1 of the easiest substances to detect. Lights up like a Christmas Tree on lab analysis. Stays in system for a long time. This is why thresholds are so important in anti-doping. Trace amounts mean nothing."

This comes after Sean O'Malley made a similar statement on his YouTube channel.

It was found during testing that two of Garcia's supplements were tainted with ostarine. A raspberry-flavored NutraBio SuperCarb showed 70-2200 picograms and Body Health strawberry-flavored amino-acid blend had 660-830 picograms.

"He ain’t as nice as everybody try to claim him to be"

Joaquin Buckley does not believe Stephen Thompson is the "nice" person everybody thinks he is. 'Wonderboy' has been given the moniker NMF - nicest motherf***er - by the UFC community because of his ever-friendly and amiable personality.

In an exclusive interview with Parry Punch, Buckley shared that he thinks it is a farce:

"I really feel like Wonderboy be putting on a role. He ain’t as nice as everybody try to claim him to be... He definitely didn’t show me no love when I was out there at International Fight Week."

Buckley added:

"I feel like Wonderboy is the Ellen DeGeneres of MMA. Seems like the nice guy on camera, but behind closed doors, that motherf***er’s an a*shole for sure."

In response, Thompson tweeted:

"Must’ve forgot that time he asked me for technique advice and I happily gave it to him. That was like a month ago. Keep talking though."

Khamzat Chimaev shares photos of training and recovery

Khamzat Chimaev seems to have recovered from the "violent" illness that forced him out of the Robert Whittaker fight. He shared a series of photos on Tuesday where he's seen playing, sparring, hitting the pads, and even doing outdoor training.

Teammate Guram Kutateladze revealed in an exclusive with Sportskeeda MMA last week that Chimaev was recovering in the Caucasus Mountains and was preparing to return to UFC in Abu Dhabi in October.

As for what happened to him, 'Borz' told Aslanbek Badaev that his immunity had dropped and he had to get admitted to the hospital twice.
