UFC 287 features one of the most stacked cards of the year, which includes a middleweight title fight, a returning welterweight star and a host of exciting match-ups.

The main event will feature longtime rivals Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya going head-to-head once again. Pereira will step into the cage as the reigning middleweight champ, previously defeating 'Izzy' for the title at UFC 281. The rematch is their second fight under the UFC banner and their fourth overall, with 'Poatan' already holding a 3-0 record in kickboxing and MMA against Adesanya.

The co-main event also includes a Fight of the Night contender as Gilbert Burns is set to take on the returning Jorge Masvidal. Their bout will mark the end of 'Gamebred's year-long hiatus from the octagon, who has the added jeapordy of needing to turn around a three-fight skid. The 38-year-old has also alluded to his retirement from the octagon should he lose.

Elsewhere on the card is a bantamweight clash between Rob Font and Adrian Yanez, as well as fan favorite Kevin Holland taking on Santiago Ponzinibbio in a welterweight clash.

The final bout will open the show as rising star Raul Rosas Jr. takes on Christian Rodriguez in the 135lbs division. The 18-year-old is looking to extend his unbeaten record to 8-0, the last time defeating Jay Perrin at UFC 282.

Daniel Cormier believes Jorge Masvidal could land a title shot with a victory at UFC 287

Despite coming up short twice against Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title and losing to Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal could be one win away from yet another shot at the title.

The current welterweight champion is Leon Edwards, who has a history with 'Gamebred'. The pair infamously got into a scuffle behind the scenes at UFC Fight Night: Till vs. Masvidal, where the 38-year-old was caught on video trading insults with 'Rocky' before landing a suckerpunch. Their beef is often referred to as the 'three piece and soda' incident.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Daniel Cormier weighed in on Masvidal's upcoming bout with Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. According to 'DC', a victory for Masvidal could open up a title shot against Edwards because of their history, which Dana White may want to cash in on.

"He [Masvidal] pretty much called out everybody in the welterweight division... Why's he talking about all these guys? Because he's a lightning rod and he understands that... If you're in Miami, it's gonna be a pro-Masvidal crowd, [and] he wins, gets in the middle of the octagon, and tells Joe Rogan, 'I want Leon Edwards. Come get this biscuit, come get this two-piece.'
'Dude, the world's gonna go crazy and Dana will look at that and go, 'Hey, man. There's a lot of history to that'... [If] this guy wins impressively, with his star-power, I could see him right in the conversation for a fight against Leon Edwards."
